QUESTION 1 (2b)

 Question:

What Is Their Opinion Of The Current Ship Design And Their Impact On Cargo-Carrying Capabilities?

Answer:

In today's globalized world, the shipping industry plays a crucial role in transporting goods across the world. Effective ship design is important to ensure efficient cargo transport. From container ships to bulk carriers it will have the same design elements such as cargo capacity, stability and total crew needed. Besides, innovation in ship design will affected the productivity, fuel efficiency and safety.

In their opinion, the current ship design is focus on the ship Safety. Over the years, ship sizes have increased dramatically, therefore safety is a priority in every ship design. All ship design need to follow rule and regulation that International Maritime Organization (IMO). IMO is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine and atmospheric pollution by ships. Besides, IMO measures cover all aspects of international shipping such as ship design, construction, equipment, manning and operation.

Additionally, with the advanced technology it can focused on minimizing  risk and accidents. Advanced technology that current ship owner use is navigation systems equipped with modern sensors and communication. this technologies help in detecting potential hazards and ensure safe journey. Real-time monitoring systems allow vessels to reduce risks by providing early warnings for adverse weather conditions or approaching obstacles.

In conclusion, the current ship design has significantly impacted cargo carrying capabilities. From containerization and increased in ship sizes and technological, ships have become more efficient and capable of transporting larger quantities of goods. However, there are several challenges which is infrastructure limitations.
